Responsibilities

School-Based Behavioral Interventionist

Salary- $30-$32 per hour

Position Summary

A Behavioral Interventionist works directly with students to support positive behavior, social skills, and academic success. This role includes implementing individualized intervention plans, monitoring student progress, and collecting data to guide instruction. The interventionist collaborates with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent strategies across settings. Candidates should be patient, proactive, and passionate about helping students thrive in a school environment.

Minimum Duties and Responsibilities
  • Works with clients, consultants, staff, families, and community to implement Students behavior support plan
  • Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations which may include client physical aggression as directed in the Individualized Education Program
  • Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner
  • Observes records, and reports the condition and behavior of the clients, including maintaining daily records
  • Becomes fluent in the understanding and application of each child’s IEP
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children, preferably with special needs
  • Proven ability to work within a team, leadership skills, and problem solving abilities
  • Exhibits positive and proactive approaches to problem solving
  • Bachelors Degree in Related Field 

Physical Requirements:
 RBTs must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop and reach, as well as be able to effectively handle client physical behaviors to ensure overall safety of client and self.
