As an New Graduate Pediatric Nurse RN/LPN - Tampa Bay with Care Options for Kids, you’ll provide one-on-one, in-home pediatric care that allows for meaningful impact without the fast pace of a hospital setting. In your first year, you’ll be expected to deliver compassionate, skilled nursing based on individualized care plans often including trach, vent, or G-tube care while collaborating closely with families and clinical supervisors. Success will be measured by your clinical competency, consistency, and ability to build trust with patients and families. About the Role

At Care Options for Kids, a home health care company providing 1:1 pediatric care in the home, we do things a little differently. There's no revolving door of patients or hospital setting chaos blinking call lights, scurrying doctors, and wards bursting at the seams.

Instead, you will work self-sufficiently and autonomously, empowering you to make a real difference in your clients' lives. Care Options for Kids New Graduate Training Program

Our innovative Care Options for KidsNew Graduate Nurse Program is designed to prepare you to be a successful pediatric home health nurse. With our four-week orientation with flexible scheduling, hands-on clinical instruction, skills lab, skills validation, and ongoing mentorship and training, you will be ready to work as a trusted partner in the care of our pediatric clients. Our program also includes in-home orientation training with a Care Options for KidsPreceptor and client, ensuring that you are fully prepared to work independently.

Responsibilities of New Graduate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Registered Nurses (RNs)

  • One-to-one nursing care in a home environment
  • Physician ordered treatments for:
    • Medication Administration
    • Nutrition via a feeding tube
    • Suctioningnasal, oral and/or endotracheal
    • Seizure assessment and treatment

Requirements for New Graduate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) / Registered Nurses (RNs)

  • Current, active Florida RN or LPN license
  • Current BLS CPR card (obtained in-person, not online)
  • No experience necessary we will train you on g-tube, trach, and vent!
  • TB Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF)
  • Alzheimer's training - 2 Hour DOEA Approved Course (provided at no cost if needed)
  • 1- Hour DOEA Alzheimer's Video (provided free of cost on DOEA website)
